December 8th we would have no events scheduled on that day. In order to avoid conflicts with the Importance of the Holy Days, no activities will be scheduled on the day or the vigil.
New Business
- Budget Preparation – We have received some registration and are asking committee chairmen to look and see what funds they may need ahead in the future in way of expenditures. Please turn into Finance committee by February 15th. We will start working on the Budget and have some numbers by next meeting.

- Accelerated goals were read at the last Mass.
- Tested our new phone system last Friday. It did send out at 9:25 due to an extended time period.
- Catholic school week went very well. Jack had an article in the Catholic Times about the school. Several schools also went together to purchase ads in the Post and Catholic Times. We were supposed to have a banner but it never came in.
- Mikala Henderson from Mr. Baird’s class had a picture in the Region Newspaper from their community service when they went to help and clean up a cemetery. The eighth grade went to Jerseyvillle to help clean Mr. Holmes home parish church. The seventh grade painted the chapel. Fifth grade washed fire trucks in Maryville. Fourth grade went to St. Jerome’s and read to children at a Head Start Program. Third grade went to a senior home and visited.

Finance
- Finance committee feels everything is going well and everything is in line with projections.
- Msgr is going to talk to the Diocese and try to talk to them about reducing interest rate on our loan.
Policy
- Reviewed all the handbooks and will try to have results next month.
Buildings and Grounds
- Would still like to get a new sign for the front of the building. With 6 old air conditioning units, we would recommend putting one unit into the budget each year. Steve also asked about looking into a possible storage building outside the school.
Development
- The Crazy Bowl is the 16th. The forms need to be in this Friday.
- Culver’s has a fundraiser opportunity we thought might be feasible for a seventh or eighth grade. The Casa Gallardo fundraiser went well.
- The Annual fund distribution target is towards the end of the month.
- Still working on Succession planning for fundraiser chairs.
- We are proceeding with the Spring Fundraiser. Proposal is for one day and adding food, games, pull tabs, and music in the evening. Looking into possibly bringing another company to provide things for the older children, teens, etc. after 9:00 when Tribous has to pull out. We will really need parents to volunteer. The three families who stepped forward are the Gonets, Bampers, and Woodwards. We want to target the parishes and the community. The committee has asked if there is some seed money to start with. Steve felt it could be done.
Public Relations
- Open House – Sent out 500 invitations, 26 families attended. 45 children made up from the 26 families. We were pretty busy, very little time standing around. 21 Pre-K, 12 Kindergarten and 1 First grade. The help of the eighth grade was great and the number of teachers here was impressive. We only had six references from the 26 families.
